Phoenix Amulet by LaughingScarab Phoenix Amulet by LaughingScarab
Inspired by my in-progress Heart of Fire necklace, this piece has its own background, however cliched. I won't go into detail, but I have been in one hell of a rut lately and only a few days ago did I gather enough vim to start working again. Naturally, the first thing I put together was an ancient symbol for rising up from the ashes of change.

I haven't decided whether to sell it or not; I probably should if anyone wants to buy it. Make me an offer if you'd like it.

Copper, 24k gold leaf, torch-fired enamel;
about 3" long with dangles, suspended on a 22" darkened copper-plated chain with vermeil clasp.

Being a natural mythical creature/deity tard, I simply have to express how much i love this charm! Its so ancient looking, but at the same time it holds the vibrant colors in that of a phoenix. damn, i would buy but having little money to throw around...you get the point v.v

The same thing happened to me years ago with a rut and phoenix. I'd say the phoenix is the patron saint of the Artist's Block.

Love the amulet!

Dude, that's freaking awesome. And heck, who cares if it's clichéd. Nothing wrong in using symbols that work. : )

I could use a bit of Phoenix-y-ness. I'm in a bad rut too. I've had Paly almost done for weeks but haven't managed to finish him, my homework is mocking me, and I haven't even folded my laundry. Aaaaaagh! *dies*

Yeah man, this seems to be rut season. Speaking of Pally, we still have some of your stuff left over from the move. We'll have to exchange packages when you do finally get around to finishing him.

Yeah, that's not surprising. That was not exactly the most well-planned and orderly moving I've ever done. I also noticed I have y'all's copy of Mononoke along with mine, so I can send that.

Actually, speaking of sending things, I talked to Scotty a while ago and he gave me some mail for you guys. There's a notice of change of address for each of you guys, and something for you specifically that may or may not be junk mail; I don't know. It has a return address from Albany, GA, but doesn't say whom it's from. If you'd like, I could go ahead and send those. I still don't have your new address... Note me?
