Elytron 3

Number 3 of 5 in the Elytron series, inspired by the shells of beetles. This one has a strange ethereal quality to the enamel as the opaque blue undercoat and the transparent purple topcoat mingle softly among the grains of silver dust. The camera does not quite do its subtlety justice.

Copper, silver dust, and torch-fired enamel;
about 1" wide and suspended on a 16" sterling chain.
